About four thousand inhabitants of Bwegera South Kivu fled their village on Friday, after the murder of a woman by armed men. According to local sources, the displaced are heading to Luvungi, 6 kilometers from their village. The commander of the Bwegera army has confirmed the movement.Young children as well as men and women carrying luggage on the back were visible along the national road number 5 fleeing Bwegera. A human rights activist of Bwegera says the movement represents two-thirds of the remaining inhabitants of the locality.
